The Sean Touré Remix Project Is Waiting For You. Go Download it!!

What’s cool about The Sean Touré Remix Project (at least for me) is that it’s one of those artist dream playlists you put together on your music player. Choppin’ it up with my man Sean-Touré over the past year, i’ve been blessed with a good number of these tracks already that i’ve had in it’s own playlst and in heavy rotation. Now that the official release has dropped, it feels like a ‘Special Edition’ playlist with 3x the amount of songs. When you throw in some of my favorites like Kev Brown, Sean Price, (the immortal) Michael Jackson, Little Brother and others, you get one hell of a free download that almost feels like stealing.

The Sean-Touré production style relies less on trendy formats and more of a traditional boom-bap sound that solid hip-hop heads love. You can hear it in tracks like “My Time” and the excellent Bilal remix of  “Love It”. So go add this free bandcamp download to your collection. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite project so far in 2010.

Since his days freestyling and breakdancing for money on the streets of Baltimore, Sean-Touré Thames has taken his music career to the next level. Taking advantage of his growing up during the Golden era of Hip-Hop, Sean has incorporated the classic boom bap sounds of Rap music into his creative and diverse sound. Sean has quickly developed a reputation as one of Baltimore’s best performers/producer/emcees. Sean has gained much respect from producing music for some of Baltimore’s best recording artist, his success as a test bin Winner on the Morgan St. Strictly Hip-Hop Radio Show, and his energetic live performances.

Sean was blessed with artistic talent from both sides of his family. He attributes his diverse sound from being influenced by the painting/visual artist, photographers, and musicians on his maternal side, the down home southern blues musicians on his paternal side, and his older brother Imam Michael-Nasir Mikail Thames who introduced Rock & Roll, Jazz, and Funk to him. However, it was the streets of Baltimore that gave Sean his initial interest in Hip-Hop. Since his first stage performance in 1992, Sean has opened shows for some of the greatest recording artist of all time like, KRS One, Chip-Fu, Nas, Mos Def, Kev Brown, The Fugees, INI, Pete Rock, Common, Bilal, and many others. Sean has also produced authorized and unauthorized remixes for artist in the industry.

In 2005 he won a Remix contest with his remix version of John Mayer’s Grammy Award winning song called Daughters. Now with his independant multimedia company Star Seed Music Group, Sean has released a FREE downloadable remix project at www.seantoure.bandcamp.com, and he’ll be releasing his debut LP SoundChanneler during the Summer of 2010. Sean is ready to introduce his incredible sound to the world. This producer/emcee is prepared to be respected as one of the best artist in the game today.
