You Should Be Listening To: Roxy5000

With the lackluster state of music here in the United States the way it is, I’ve found myself being attracted to the new styles music and artists from across the pond. From there, I’ve been able to expand like love for music from just Hip-Hop, Jazz and R&B, to electronic genres like Dubstep, Trance and most recently,  good Club and Dance music. One of those groups that’s got me in that dancing mood (for the first time ever) is Roxy5000. With their self-entitled CD just on the horizon, they’re looking to flip the game and bring back the love heart-pounding, unapologetic good music.

Currently, the group has leaked a sneak peak of their song “Funky People” to the masses to get them prepared for the onslaught that’s on the way. I’ve been vibin’ with Roxy5000 frontman, Domingo Sanchez since his solo days. It’s good to see my man expanding with this group project; taking his patented sound and expanding it. aided with the lovely voice of “Miss Prince” on the track.

“Funky People is a hard hitting edgy tune but with a massive meaning behind it!” Domingo explains. “(It) was written because we, the band and many other people in the world are sick of “negative energies” in whatever form they come. And this is the time for people to pull together and say “We don’t give a sh*t what the f*ck you think!”
Because we are positive people who want to do the right thing. And we will!!!!!!!!!”

ROXY5000 are a brand new cool and cutting edge band fronted by Domingo Sanchez.

ROXY5000 “The Album” will feature various artists from around the globe. ROXY5000 is currently featuring the Beautiful and Talented “MISS PRINCE” on various tracks on the album including the first single “FUNKY PEOPLE”.

“MISS PRINCE” is a seasoned performer having performed in venues across the globe in most European cities and the states from the likes of The Temple Bar LA to Shepherds Bush Empire to Wembley Arena and 02. The band sound is a mix of contemporary beats with cutting edge production lending the outcome to a more soulful but very current vibe. The main point behind ROXY5000 is “CREATING POSITIVITY AND AWARENESS”. The tracks on the album cover many angles of awareness from LOVE TO SEX TO THE STREET TO THE INTERNET TO SAYING “GET LOST” TO “NEGATIVITY” and much much more but this is all done with “CROSS OVER POTENTIAL!!!” ROXY5000 is a lifestyle, a movement of music which you will feel when you rock your ass off at the ROXY5000 live shows DON’T MISS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If you were to pigeon hole ROXY5000 you would probably say the sound is a mix of various artists as the band members are lovers of so much real music. There are to many artists to mention that have influenced ROXY5000. But Soul in the Real sense not just the music sense is the basis of ROXY5000.

The main aim with the project is to release an album that is for everyone and to bring on POSITIVITY.!!!!!!! The funk the soul the reggae the jazz and the blues will all be there, but so will the modern edge productions. Keep a look out for a show near you!
