Thad Reid “Paid Time Off (EP)” Drops To The Masses
This has been a stellar year for underground and indie Hip-Hop. Another blip on your radar should be the new EP release from Virginia native Thad Reid, entitled “Paid Time Off“. The nine track opus contains cuts you might’ve already heard us drop in the mix before, like “Cruizin” (my personal favorite) and “Payday”. But he’s also droppin’ some new hotness which shows some major, much-needed consistency in CD’s. “Something New” seems to be my jam of the moment. It’s a smooth, Protoge’ produced track with solid verses from my man Reid. “Look My Way” featuring Aksum is a radio-friendly cut, sans feeling watered down. And “Life Soldiers”, an Auditory Beats produced banger is all Hip-Hop, featuring assists from K-Beta and Flip. All in all, a solid short-player that’s damn nice from beginning to end.
