The Music Lounge Live Kick-off in DETROIT…If you missed it!

Last month the Flow Team kicked off the Music Lounge concert series with a live performance by YahZarah aka Purples St. James and Darien Brockington.  The night was unbelievable to say the least.  Those who made it out on Oct 21st witnessed a spectacle like none other.  (a special shout to all of you brave lover’s of Soul who battled Downtown Detroit’s World Series traffic and parking).

Hosted by Detroit’s own, Dwele, the night began on a high note as Darien “D-Brock” Brockington took the stage and proceeded to belt out soon to be classic after classic from his latest full length offering, “Somebody To Love.”  And if that was not enough, special surprise guest, Little Brother’s Phonte and Big Pooh took the stage to perform to the crowd and pose in their the B-Boy stance.

Bringing sexy back and serious vocals, YahZarah “Ms Purple” came in to join Darien and wrapped the crowd in a showcase of beautifully crafted soulful melodies.  True to form, she tore the stage down!  And if that wasn’t enough, capping the night, Dwele had to give the Flow crowd a taste of Detroit’s finest, hitting “Hold On” and bringing back D-Brock & Ms Purple for a jam session that you just had to hear (yup, don’t fret, the video is coming!)
